We are a group working on creating local money in Powell River, BC.

PRMS envisions a flourishing, resilient community and healthy natural environment, empowered by our abundant and diverse social and economic assets.

Powell River Dollars, a printed and online currency based on the Community Way model, launched in Nov 2012 and is currently accepted by 33 businesses and 35 non-profit groups and projects locally. Over PR$34,000 has been donated to non-profits, and over PR$16,000 is circulating in the community as bills.
